SALEM — The Salem Heights apartments at 12 Pope St. will get a new solar-powered heating system, thanks to a grant from the charitable arm of TD Bank. The TD Charitable Foundation announced this week that it will award a $100,000 "Housing for Everyone" grant to Preservation of Affordable Housing, the Boston-based nonprofit that owns the 283-unit Salem Heights apartment complex.
